The short answer is yes. Not everyone in your community is going to convert into sales no matter how good you are on social media. You need to have a large enough targeted community that even if only a small percentage convert, it's enough to generate a return on the investment of resources you put into social media. Resources aren't just financial. They also include things like time, education in learning, people... these are all things to consider when growing your social media community.
